Most of the time, actors begin their journeys as stage actors. For Jeanne Tripplehorn, though, her first few experiences in the business were for local TV shows Night Shift and Creature Feature, followed by her stint working for a radio station. With these endeavors helping her develop her love for the art, it’s no surprise she soon continued her studies at Juilliard’s Drama Division, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Tripplehorn’s first projects were for stage productions like Three Sisters and The Big Funk for her professional career in the acting scene. By 1992, she found her way to more on-screen roles, starting with 1992’s Basic Instinct. Since then, Tripplehorn has worked on other titles such as The Firm, Sliding Doors, Criminal Minds, and Grey Gardens. She’s also set to appear in an upcoming series, The Terminal List.
